This was well written, with an interesting history of these two, but it's practically insta-love and that's a turnoff for me without more meat in the story.
This is a light read, no intrigue, cheating or lying, and no super steamy sex scenes.

So she has major self-esteem issues that, honestly, are not going to be addressed by the aforementioned socially-inept Joel. While I believe the author was trying to continue Daisy's issues with self-esteem and her struggles with social norms, I felt it completely unfathomable that she would be attending a fancy dinner on the island, with Hollywood types in formal gowns, while only wearing a t-shirt and jeans skirt. Those types of scenarios just make the book seem unrealistic in many of its depictions of scenes.
